Today was the first time in my life I have literally felt my blood pressure rise. I hear commotion from Jared's room, so I casually walk over. Kerin happened to be in the hall, and peeked in first. She said, "Oh my god, you do NOT want to see what's on the floor in there". Thinking some kid had bound and gagged Jared, I walked over expecting to laugh. Instead it was his computer. Mason had the network cable in his hand in the front of the room.

I of course exploded. Got Patty, she and Sarah went in and told them they would lose Field Day unless how it happened was fully uncovered. They were absolutely quiet for the remainder of the class.

Several kids came to us and told us what happened. Of course, the guilty kid denies it up and down. But he has been known to lie for years, and more than one kid came, independently, and named him. Apparently he unplugged the cable, tied it to an empty desk leg, and then they were pulling it during class to make the desk move.

What burns me up the most was that Jared went over to find out why the desk was moving, untied the cord, and it was HIM that pulled the computer off the desk. Both myself and Patty laid into them about it, yet HE did it. Why he didn't come to one of us and tell what happened is beyond me.

Later in the hall Susan asked me how I was, and I said I was ready to shoot myself, Jared happened to be walking by and said "Oh don't do that"... to which I replied "or better yet, someone across the hall from me."

On a happier note, the cookbooks finally arrived today! Despite all the grief and delays, they turned out really nice. They send 41 extra to cover shipping costs... hell how much was shipping??

Also, Abbie's second puppy class starts tonight, and it's just for the "parents", so I am going with Marc. Her graduation from the first puppy class is next Moday, I will have to look for a mini cap for her so we can take pictures. I hope they give us a diploma :)

Worked far too late last night at B&BW. Had planned on leaving at 10, but was in the middle of redoing a table and couldn't get away until almost 11. I am sure they were there until at least 2 or 3 in the morning, if not later.

Went for my "cardio orientation" at Rex yesterday afternoon. Did not need instruction on the equipment, thank god. Of course, the orientation was done by Jason, a hot looking young man, and I was so paranoid I was going to have to step on the scale and I was overall just nervous, so my resting pulse came out at 113 (holy cow) and my BP was registering rather high. How embarrasing! I assured him that was merely nervous, that I never have had high bp and my resting heart rate was usually 70 or under. I think he thought I was nuts.
