So this morning Pooh and I managed to roll out of bed at 9AM with just enough time to shower, feed the dogs, and make it to the tiling class at Home Depot.

Tiling is a hell of a lot of work. Not the actual tiling itself, but rather making sure the subfloor is smooth with no sags. After seeing the prep work involved for our 5x9 upstairs bathroom, I think we both decided that it would be much less headache to have someone come out and do it for us. :) If it were a nice level cement floor, like the basement, I would be all over it. But I just don't want the hassle.

On our way home we happened to drive by Lowe's and notice they had a big sidewalk thing going on. Upon closer inspection we found the new vanity we had just bought last weekend was out there... on sale for $90 (we paid $348, which was down from $458). Holy shmoley! Pooh talked to the manager and they adjusted the price for us, saving us the hassle of loading it back in the Escape, returning it, and rebuying it. Awesome! I think paying someone to tile the floor is especially warranted after that deal!

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” --Marianne Williamson
