So in the 5 years we've lived in this house our dogs have been attacked by the neighbor's two dogs three times.  First was pre-Abbie  and we were walking Leko on the leash when they slipped theirs and attacked.  The husband seems to have a little better control over them so other than a lot of snarling, not much happened.  The second was when Abbie was a puppy and we were walking by their house, leashed.  They were loose and ran out to the street.  Leko fought back, and Abbie slipped her harness and ran for our house.  They had her cornered by the garage door, but fortunately she was fine.  The most recent time Abbie was a bit older and Leko had just been in for major surgery.  Again we were walking by their house, and this time Abbie and Leko both fought back.  This time there was blood.  And cursing, majorly, on my part.  I was walking with my mom and I think I surprised her by damning the woman to hell and telling her I was so sick of her fucking loose dogs attacking mine.  She kept saying, "but they won't hurt them I promise"... ha!  Two snarling  dogs running loose in the neighborhood?  And Leko, who was recovering from surgery was bleeding on his nose, Abbie on her feet?  I think not.   I called Animal Control.  They were given a fine, and the animal control officer was very nice and told me to be sure to call again if I so much as saw them off leash in their yard.

In talking to other neighbors since then, we've heard that the 2 dogs not only attack dogs, but make humans nervous as well.  Apparently, before we moved in, they were allowed loose in the yard, contained by an electric fence.  They barked and snarled at people walking by their house, and it progressively got worse.   Eventually they would get so enraged they'd run into the current then whine and squeal back up to the house.   I guess the people got the idea and took them out of the yard.  The neighbor directly across from us, who lives next door to them, said that one afternoon they had him cornered on his deck in the back yard... they were standing by the stairs and wouldn't move to let him down.

We've had no incidents since the last one, other then when we walk by they are barking, snarling, and slamming their heads against their front windows.  The man at the house is very very strange.  Whenever we're outside in our yard, or walking by his house, he stares.  Not just looks up from what he's doing and sees that someone is walking by like a normal person might do, but literally stops and stares at us for minutes at a time.. either until we're out of site or we go back in our house.  He gives me the creeps.

Last night when we were walking we saw him start to back out of the driveway, and then he stopped.  I didn't think much of it and we continued walking towards their house.  When we got almost to their driveway, he continued backing out, like he had been waiting for us to get close.  And the two dogs were in the backseat, snarling and barking.  As the car drove down the street you could see both of them with their paws on the back window ledge just having a fit.  I swear the man creeps me out.
