Pooh thinks I'm kidding when I say I want to get rid of Fred (the Maine Coon). Unfortunately, I would not be that sad to see him gone. He has gotten into the habit of pooping in the middle of the kitchen floor several times a week, and it's driving me crazy. We have 4 frickin litter boxes in the house. Usually cats' litterbox behaviors change when there's a change in their environment - like Betty the cat from hell who starting peeing when we added another cat. But for Fred, everything has been exactly the same for all 5 years of his life. I'm coming to my rope's end with him. Between that and all the cat hair, I'm about ready to get rid of all three of them. (Ok, so Grendel could never go...)
I looked up my old apartment off of Wade Ave. today out of the blue. Well, rather the tax record for the house. Much to my surprise, my landlords have finally turned it in to a single family home. I was a little sad because I really loved that apartment - not that I'd ever move back into 350 square feet of space, but I liked to think of other people living there and loving it as much as I did. But I know my landlady probably did a great job of blending the rooms back together - she had fantastic taste. From the construction notes, it looks like they took out the kitchen AND the bath, so her kitchen is probably huge now! There were two photos of it on the tax site, one from 1995 when I lived there, and one from 2005. I have blind issues, I believe. The blinds were always closed in that apartment. And I just looked upstairs here, and the blinds are closed. Weird. Oh and I like it better white. I loved that place, even with its dangerous stairs... :)

Tomorrow is day two of my vacation. I believe that I am getting up early with my cameras (film and digital) and heading to the zoo for QT with the polar bears.
