Michael Vick and I have something in common. We both claim to be animal lovers.
Michael Vick is in jail serving 23 months for killing pitbulls that weren't aggressive enough and funding dogfighting rings. He claims that he "didn't know" dogfighting was wrong or illegal. Hmm.
I have two dogs that sometimes sleep in bed with me at night, are petted, walked, played with multiple times a day (well Mr. Foofa not so much anymore, mainly because he sleeps all day, can't see or hear, or walk that well). They are well groomed, have toys in every room of the house, are included in family events. I have pictures of them on my desk at work. Buy them Halloween costumes and Santa hats. My one dog growled at 2 different dogs in 2 different situations (growled, not attacked or fought) and I am now taking her to a 6 week "Dominant Dog" class to try and improve her manners. (And she's learned "Shake!"
