Amazing how quickly time goes by.
Pooh's dad was not doing well, had a pacemaker put in and was in the hospital for a week while they tried to regulate his blood pressure, even after the pacemaker. We ended up flying up for a long weekend at the end of February to help out as his mom had plans to go visit his brother in TN (who had been in ICU with a cracked skull...). Turns out his dad has Lyme disease, which he may have had for a logn time and which may have caused all of his other medical problems over the years - scary! He's doing better now, thank god.
While in MA I of course had to do some shopping, even if I couldn't get into Boston. Abbie got an adorable Coach collar at the outlet, she looks so pretty in her bling. ;)
Leko went to the vet before that trip for his itchies and $3K in vet bills later he is a new 12 year old dog! He had a growth in his spleen and something wrong with one of his adrenal glands. He went in for major surgery at the veterinary specialty hopsital and has been recovering well. We had though he was slowing down because of his age, but now we see that he must have been in pain. He is back to being a pretty goofy boy, barking and jumping around like his old self.
Trying to out do her brother, Abbie has been diagnosed with chronic pancreantitis and is on special dog food for the rest of her life. So far her whatever levels have not gone down, though, so surgery is still a possibility for her, too. *sigh*
Work is crazy, not sure how much longer I, or several other people, will be here. Amazing how lack of a good leader can mess the whole place up...
Easter vacation in 1 1/2 days!
