Sometimes I think I live under a rock - well at least in the entertainment world. Pooh told me yesterday that he wanted to go see a movie, Music and Lyrics, and that it started at 2:45. So around noon we head out, grab some lunch at an Italian place in North Hills, do a little Target browsing (like I'd ever complain about that!) and head to the theater. What I failed to realize is that Music and Lyrics is a chick flick! And pooh suggested this movie willingly!
The movie was cute but not fantastic, still a lot of fun though. Hugh Grant was a 80s pop star from a band called "Pop!" that was just your typical 80s hair band. I laughed so hard, but yes, that's what music videos were like in the 80s. Drew Barrymore (one of my favorites in just about anything) was his lyricist. Very cute, and it was nice of Pooh to suffer through. As we were walking out, though, he did comment "You should have gone to see that with Amy K" (my concert partner in the 80s). And I agreed. :)
